Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Maggapath at maggapath.com, operated by Chinthaka Thiyambarawatte (trading as "Maggapath"). By accessing or using our platform you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. About Maggapath
Maggapath is an AI-powered child discovery and guidance platform that provides personalised discovery reports for families with students aged 13 to 16. Our reports are designed to help families understand a child's strengths, learning style, emotional profile, and suitable career and educational pathways.
2. Use of Service
You must be a parent or legal guardian of the student being assessed to use Maggapath. You must provide accurate and truthful information during the registration and assessment process. You must not use Maggapath for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these terms. The assessment link provided to you is personal and non-transferable and must only be used by the intended student and parent.
3. Assessment and Reports
Maggapath reports are generated using AI technology based on the responses provided during the assessment conversation. Reports are intended to provide guidance and insight and should not be treated as a substitute for professional psychological, educational, or career counseling advice. We make every effort to ensure the accuracy and relevance of our reports however we cannot guarantee that every report will perfectly reflect every aspect of every child's personality or potential.
4. Payment and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all international card orders, meaning Paddle handles the transaction, billing, tax compliance, invoicing, customer service inquiries, and refunds on our behalf. For payment, billing, cancellation, and refund mechanics, please also refer to Paddle's Buyer Terms. All payments must be completed before the assessment link is activated. Prices are displayed in the currency relevant to your selected country. For Sri Lankan customers, payment is also available via local bank transfer or PayHere. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.
5. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Maggapath at any time, with or without notice, for: material breach of these terms; non-payment or chargeback of fees; suspected fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity; security risk to our platform or other users; or repeated or serious violations of our policies. Where suspension or termination occurs, any data retention will follow our Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on maggapath.com including text, design, graphics, logos, and the assessment methodology is the intellectual property of Maggapath and is protected by applicable copyright laws. The personalised report generated for your family is licensed to you for personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell your report or any part of our platform without our written permission.
6. Confidentiality
Your child's assessment data and report content are strictly confidential. We will not share your family's assessment data or report content with any third party without your explicit consent except as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
Maggapath provides guidance and informational reports. We are not liable for any decisions made by you or your child based on the content of the reports. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Maggapath shall not exceed the amount you paid for your assessment.
8. Disclaimer
Maggapath reports are not psychological assessments, clinical diagnoses, or professional career counseling. They are AI-generated discovery guides intended to support family conversations about a child's strengths and future direction. We recommend using our reports as one input among many when making educational decisions.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from your use of Maggapath shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Maggapath after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
